The situation

A boy called Jonah has two older siblings, and sometimes they team up. Today they've decided on a plan — sneaking out the snacks, blaming the mess on the dog, keeping a small thing from their parents — and they want Jonah in on it. "You're either with us or you're a snitch," they say, half-joking, half-not. Jonah doesn't really want to. But it's two against one, they're older, and "being with them" feels rare and good — they don't usually include him. Saying no means being on the outside again. Saying yes means doing something he knows isn't right. The two people he most wants to belong with are the two pushing him.
