The situation

A few kids in your class took something from the PE cupboard they weren't meant to — a couple of those bouncy balls — and hid them in a bag. A teacher is now asking around. The kids who took them come to you, fast and urgent: "If anyone asks, you were with us the whole time and we didn't go near the cupboard. Back us up. You're one of us." You weren't even really with them — you were nearby. Now they want you to be their alibi, to say something you know isn't true. There's pressure in their faces, and a threat under the friendliness: back us up, or you're not "one of us." You didn't take anything. But they're trying to make you part of the lie.
