The football went through the kitchen window. It was your kick — too hard, wrong direction. But when your dad came out asking who did it, the words just fell out of your mouth: "It was Jake." Jake is your mate. He went red and started saying it wasn't him, but you'd already said it, and your dad believed you. Now Jake's being told off, and he keeps looking at you like he can't believe it.
