A girl called Priya is at a corner shop with a group of older kids she's hanging around with for the first time. On the way out, she notices two of them slip sweets into their pockets without paying. Outside, they laugh about it and offer her some. "Everyone does it," one says. "The shop won't even notice. Don't be a baby — take one." Priya didn't take anything. But now she's holding a sweet someone stole, with a group telling her it's normal, that the shop won't miss it, that refusing makes her babyish. Taking it makes her part of it. Refusing makes her the odd one out with kids she wants to like her. "Everyone does it" hangs in the air, daring her to agree.
