The Trick on the New Boy
A new boy, Daniel, joined the class a couple of weeks ago. He's keen to fit in and laughs at everything, a bit too eagerly. Some kids have noticed, and now they've cooked up a "joke" — they're going to tell Daniel something embarrassing is the normal thing to do at school, just to watch him do it and laugh at him later. They're excited about it, whispering and planning. One of them turns to a kid standing nearby — maybe someone like you — and says, "Don't tell him. It'll be so funny. You're not going to ruin it, right?"
