There's a thing you genuinely love — but it's the kind of thing people think only "other" kids are supposed to like. Maybe you're a boy who loves baking or dance. Maybe you're a girl who's obsessed with engineering or rugby. Maybe it's just a colour, a toy, a show that comes with an invisible label saying "this isn't for someone like you." People react with a little surprise, or a joke, or a "really? you?" And sometimes you find yourself adding "but I'm not, like, into it into it" — playing it down so it fits what people expect of you. You're starting to wonder why a hobby should have anything to do with whether you're a boy or a girl at all.
