There's one grown-up you can always go to. Maybe a parent, maybe a grandparent, an aunt, a teacher — someone who listens properly, who doesn't laugh at your worries, who makes you feel like what you say matters. You might not have thought about it much. They're just... there. But not every kid has someone like that, or knows who theirs is. And sometimes, in a hard moment, even when you do have that person, you forget to actually go to them — you try to handle everything alone instead. Knowing exactly who your person is, before you need them, turns out to be one of the most useful things you can figure out.
