A boy called Finn has started noticing things about his grandad. He repeats the same question minutes apart. He called Finn by his dad's name. Once he seemed lost in his own kitchen, just for a moment, before laughing it off. The adults exchange looks but don't really explain. Finn loves his grandad and finds the changes a little frightening — like the solid, certain person he's always known is becoming someone less sure. Nobody's told him what's happening, so his imagination fills the gaps. He doesn't know whether to mention it, pretend not to notice, or ask the questions piling up quietly inside him.
