A boy called Sami doesn't have the kind of family that shows up in school worksheets — the "draw your mum and dad" kind. His family looks different from most of his classmates'. One day a kid asked, not unkindly, just curious, "but who's your real family?" and Sami didn't know what to say. He's never thought his family was strange. To him it's just home — the people who love him, feed him, turn up. But that one word, "real," stuck. Now he's wondering whether other people see his family as somehow less of a family, and whether he's supposed to feel that too.
