The situation

There's a family friend — someone your parents know and trust, someone who's around a lot — who does something that makes you uncomfortable. Maybe they tease you in a way that stings, or get too close, or say things that feel wrong, or ask you to do things you don't want to. Because the grown-ups all like them, you've assumed you must be the problem. So you've said nothing, and put up with it, and tried to laugh it off. But the uncomfortable feeling hasn't gone away. You don't know if it's "bad enough" to mention, or whether anyone would believe you over a grown-up they all trust.
