A girl called Hana confides in her friend Leah that an older cousin has been sending her messages that make her uncomfortable — asking her not to tell her parents, saying it's "their secret." Hana tells Leah but begs her: "You can't tell anyone. Promise. I shouldn't have even said it." Leah promised. But now Leah feels sick about it. This doesn't feel like a normal keep-it-to-yourself secret. It feels bigger and more frightening than that. Hana clearly wants it to stay buried. Leah has to decide whether keeping this particular promise is the right thing — or the dangerous thing.
