The Thing You Said You'd Watched
A boy called Daniel kept saying he'd seen the videos and games everyone talked about — the scary ones, the ones rated for much older kids — even though he hadn't. He didn't want to be the only one who looked young or sheltered, so he laughed along and pretended. Then someone sent him a link. "Watch this one, it's mad." He clicked it alone in his room that night, and it showed him something genuinely frightening that he couldn't unsee. He'd talked his way into it to fit in, and now he was stuck with it. He'd been so busy not looking young that he ended up somewhere he wasn't ready for.
