Your club has shared jobs — tidying equipment, setting up, locking the cupboard. To make it fair, you suggested a rota, and everyone agreed it was a great idea. You even wrote it out neatly and stuck it on the wall. Two weeks later, the rota is basically ignored. The same two or three people keep doing the jobs (often including you), and the rest just drift off when it's time to tidy up. Your great fair system is sitting on the wall being completely useless, and you're starting to feel like a mug for caring. You could rip the rota down and give up. You could silently keep doing everyone's jobs and resent it. Or you could work out why a good idea on paper isn't working in real life.
