A boy called Ben was at his grandad's when his grandad had a fall and couldn't get up, wincing and saying his leg hurt too much to move. It wasn't a film-style disaster — no sirens, no drama — just his grandad on the floor, in pain, and Ben suddenly the only one who could do anything. Ben's mind went blank and racing at the same time. Should he try to lift him? Run to a neighbour? Phone someone — but who, and what would he even say? He half-remembered that there was a number you call, but in the moment, with his grandad looking up at him, all the half-knowledge jumbled together. He's not too young to help. He just isn't sure he knows how, and there's no grown-up here to ask.
