The Whisper Campaign
A girl called Amara has decided she doesn't like another girl, Grace, and she's good at getting others to feel the same. She doesn't say cruel things loudly. Instead she whispers — "Don't tell Grace, but…" — dropping little comments, raising her eyebrows, sharing "secrets" about Grace that may or may not be true. Slowly, the group's feeling about Grace shifts, and Grace can't work out why people have gone cool. A kid in the group keeps being pulled into these whispers. Each one feels like being trusted, being let in. But each one also leaves them feeling a little grubby.
