At break, you're picking teams for a game. There's the usual scramble, and it ends with one kid left — the one who's always picked last, or not at all. Today the numbers don't work out evenly, and someone says, "We've got enough, they can just sit out." Everyone's keen to start. The kid is standing there, pretending to be fine with it. You're one of the captains. You could go along with it and start the game everyone's excited for. Or you could be the one who slows things down and finds a way to include the kid nobody picked.
