The situation
A girl called Aria knew something about her older brother that scared her: he and his mates had started doing something genuinely dangerous — taking the car out without a licence, late at night. He'd sworn her to secrecy, said she'd be a snitch and he'd never forgive her if she told. Aria loved her brother and didn't want to betray him. She also lay awake imagining the worst, knowing this could get someone killed.
