Nobody Else Is Me
Mia was looking at all the children at school. Everyone was different — different hair, different faces, different things they liked. Mia thought about it. There was nobody else exactly like her in the whole class. In fact, there was nobody else exactly like her in the whole world! That felt special. (Feeling words: Special · Proud)
Mia felt special and proud, realising that nobody else in the whole world is exactly like her. This is one of the loveliest things to know about yourself. Out of all the millions of people, there has never been another Mia, and there never will be. Everyone is different — and that's not a problem; it's wonderful. Knowing you're one of a kind helps you feel proud of who you are, just as you are.
There is nobody else in the whole world exactly like you — and there never will be. You are one of a kind! Being different from everyone else isn't a problem; it's special. You are wonderfully, completely you.
Mia drew a big picture of herself — her brown eyes, her favourite dinosaur t-shirt, her love of jumping in puddles. "Nobody else is me!" she said proudly to Mum. "That's exactly right," said Mum, hugging her. "There's only one you in the whole world, and I love every bit of you." Mia put her picture on the wall. It felt wonderful to know she was one of a kind — special, just as she was.
